  28. pretty goofy scheme.

  30. To answer your question: the only way to do this, to my
  31. knowledge, is to "insert|breaks|section-break|next-page"
  32. for each page, then "insert|page numbers|format|
  33. number-format|i-ii-iii-iv||page-numbering|start-at|X"
  34. where X is the page number.  Each section gets its own
  35. page number, one page per section.  Its rather manual,
  36. but since your approach is, let's say, non-standard (or
  37. I'm just showing my ignorance -- please disabuse me of
  38. it if you can), the programmers/designers probably
  39. never gave it much thought to make this feature automatic.

  41. Too many other things to pay attention to while programming
  42. word: somehow the idea of non-modal "Find" and "Replace"
  43. dialog boxes got lost in the translation from the Mac to
  44. the PeeCee.  Just one of a host of oddities with W4W.

  47. editor/publisher!
