- I've had a _very_ bad experience with their so-called "customer service".
- I bought AD 2.0 for my system, which has a Matrox Impression 1024 card (it's
- 1024x768, 24-bit "true color"). I found various problems with AD and called
- them up to ask about it. I was expecting them to give me some story about how
- it was a Matrox driver problem. However, they were candid and admitted that
- it was their problem. They said they had no idea how to fix the problem, even
- though they had some cards in-house that demonstrated the problem. The tech
- went on to say "be glad you don't have 2.0A - it would refuse to run on that
- card".
-
- I sent their CEO a letter saying that I found their response unacceptable,
- and that a company that develops a software package should either expect to
- be able to correct bugs, or note on the package that it doesn't work with some
- common video cards. I got back a "thank you for your comments" FAX saying that
- I should buy ST 1.0 from them, even though it _still_ doesn't work with 24-bit
- (and some 256-color) video cards. They completely ignored my complaints.
-
- I sent a return letter that basically said "I'll buy another one of your
- products when Hell freezes over". Idiots.
