-
- I have used successively Norton Backup for DOS (version 2.00.75) on my
- Identity tape drive (Archive mechanism). The drive worked also with
- the software, Id-Tape, that I got with it. However, Id-Tape produced
- far more errors, the errors were recovered very slowly and the whole
- process took about twice as long as with NB. I also tried successively
- PC-Tools PC-Backup (rather old version 6) but the compression rate was
- somewhat smaller than with NB. In addition, NB has some nice features
- like deleting single volumes from the (end of the) tape.
-
- Thus, I recommend NB which may be sold separately but I received it
- with Norton Desktop for DOS (version 1.00).
