  21. I have used successively Norton Backup for DOS (version 2.00.75) on my
  22. Identity tape drive (Archive mechanism). The drive worked also with
  23. the software, Id-Tape, that I got with it. However, Id-Tape produced
  24. far more errors, the errors were recovered very slowly and the whole
  25. process took about twice as long as with NB. I also tried successively
  26. PC-Tools PC-Backup (rather old version 6) but the compression rate was
  27. somewhat smaller than with NB. In addition, NB has some nice features
  28. like deleting single volumes from the (end of the) tape.

  30. Thus, I recommend NB which may be sold separately but I received it
  31. with Norton Desktop for DOS (version 1.00).
