  27. If you run Pro with DRDOS 6.0 (as I do), the Express Menu includes a
  28. TaskMax Control... option.  Selecting it allows you to create, run, or
  29. delete TaskMax tasks.  There's also a toggle for Clipboard Support, but
  30. I haven't tried it... Other TaskMax tasks also show up in the Express
  31. Menu itself, intermingled with your GEOS processes.  It's easy to spot
  32. them, since they're in all capitals.

  34. The only thing you need to remember is to run TaskMax _first_, and then
  35. run GEOS.  This sets up GEOS as a task, allocating some amount of memory
  36. to it.  Then, when you call another task, GEOS is just swapped out, not
  37. shut down altogether.  If you use Zmodem or other external programs
  38. frequently, this is a Good Thing.  You can even make a launcher for an
  39. external program, and have it come up on your Express/Startup menu, then
  40. run as a TaskMax task.  Almost as good as having it run _in_ GEOS. ;)

  42. The only caveat is that if GEOS is run under TaskMax, it will NOT be given
  43. access to lots of extended memory.  If you're going to be editing files 
  44. that use a lot of extended memory, it's best to drop out of GEOS, turn off
  45. TaskMax, and re-run GEOS.
