  32. I sympathize with your disappointment; everyone in technical support who
  33. runs mwm misses Mark and Transfer as well.  However, we can't modify
  34. mwm; we have licenced it and recompiled it and that's all we can do
  35. within the confines of the licence agreement.  (If we modified it, it
  36. wouldn't be mwm any more.)  While the lack of Mark and Transfer might
  37. seem a deficit to you, it's a feature to everyone who wants to see Motif
  38. and nothing but Motif on their machines.  Motif is offered for those who
  39. want an OSF/Motif look and feel on their desktop, and that look and feel
  40. does not provide a Mark and Transfer.  Perhaps it may someday.

  42. Meanwhile, we didn't have to add support for Mark and Transfer to dwm;
  43. dwm was conceived from the ground up, by Quarterdeck, as a window
  44. manager that would include this feature.  So in fact, I am paying a
  45. compliment to our company's software offerings; the software that we
  46. designed has, apparently, more of what you want.

  48. Here in Canada, our software comes with a warranty; I would assume that
  49. things are similar in the U.K.  Please contact our offices there, or at
  50. QIL in Dun Laoghaire, if you have questions about refunds, and I'm sure
  51. they'll help you out.
