  22. Actually, the quote applies even more in its original form:

  27. In other words, consistency merely for the sake of consistency is
  28. foolish and arbitrary.  Far better to judge each situation on its
  29. own merits, provided one has the capacity to do so.

  31. The blurb cited here about "special arrangements" sounds like a
  32. reasonable one, and certainly does not imply that pseudonyms will
  33. be arbitrarily denied, merely that getting one is not the
  34. default, but rather something requiring non-default actions by
  35. the user, i.e. making special arrangements.  (Like the airlines'
  36. "special arrangements" to get a vegetarian in-flight meal: ask in
  37. advance since it isn't what they usually do.)
