- Yes, I installed gopher1.1 on a SUN4 ipc running SUNON 4.1.1 and am
- having the same problem. starting up gopher with the bookmark file or
- by specifying a host and port on the command line works reliably but
- just starting up gopher dumps core erratically. I suspected that the
- client was dumping core because the root gopher server was running an
- older version, but I may be wrong.

- I compiled gopher as is, ie using standard CC and just redefined the
- necessary things in conf.h and Makefile.conf
