  28. Incorrect.  HP was the first to publish a few months ago.  IBM then
  29. published a high end AS/400 that has better TPC-C performance and a
  30. low end model that has better price/performance.  Look for many
  31. companies to publish this spring now that the ice has been broken.
  32. HP and IBM will also likely publish improved numbers.

  34. TPC-C is, of course, only one benchmark.  However, it better
  35. represents what customers are doing in the transaction processing
  36. market than any other public benchmark.
