  18.        In the year just past there was some scientific discussion as to
  19. whether or not homosexuality was a genetic or physical trait.  I'm not
  20. sure s to the exact details but one of the studies indicated that the
  21. size andor shape of the brains of homosexual men were different than that
  22. of he erosexual men. But as far as I can recall, the studies were still
  23. inconclusive.

  25.         Supposing that homosexuality is a genetic trait (such as having
  26. blue eyes or blonde hair) would you out there, who feel homosexual feelings
  27. and actions are immoral, reconsider your thoughts on the discrimination
  28. laws in Colorado and other places?

  31. There have also been similar studies concerning predisposition to violent
  32. crime.  Should we also reconsider our thoughts on rape, assault and
  33. murder?  Can we have different standards of conduct for different genetic
  34. tendencies?  One of the main purposes of law is to maintain an orderly
  35. society.  I believe that when we begin to bend the rules we simultaneously
  36. degrade the results.  That is one reason I am opposed to laws that would
  37. differentiate between murder for money and murder for race, etc.  The act
  38. is wrong and should be punished in like manner, to do otherwise is to
  39. devalue one of the victims.

  41. An action carries certain results, should it matter *why* the action was
  42. taken?  Granted, some have more trouble than others when trying to not
  43. beat their wife, shoplift, commit incest with their children or kill
  44. innocent bystanders.  The answer is not to be found in diminishing the
  45. punishment for unacceptable actions, but instead in helping these people
  46. to understand the nature of their wrongful desires and thereby overcoming
  47. them.  After the fact, justice demands absolutely equal treatment.

  49. This entire EXCUSE approach defies the existence of absolute right and
  50. wrong.  It also flushes the concept of responsibility right down the
  51. krapper.

  54.         Would religious beliefs and doctrines need to be updated?  Obviously
  55. you cannot call something which is genetic sinful.

  58. Religious beliefs and doctrines that are based upon unaltering truth should
  59. never be updated.  That is not to say that there have never been errors in
  60. man's handling of the Word.

  62. Your genetic makeup is absolutely beyond your personal control, your actions
  63. are not.  Therefore your genetics cannot be sinful but your actions may.
