  23. It is incorrect to infer from "the huge majority of good parents are
  24. heterosexual couples" that "heterosexual couples do in general
  25. make better parents."

  27. If necessary, I will explain exactly what the mistake is. But it is
  28. more fun to show how analogous reasoning is obviously wrong.

  32. The huge majority of law-abiding citizens in the northern half
  33. of the western hemisphere are U.S. citizens. Therefore,
  34. U.S. citizens make for more law-abiding citizens than others.
  35. In particular, Cubans, whose law-abiding citizens are
  36. VASTLY less numerous than those of the U.S. must be less law-abiding.

  38. The huge majority of people with very high IQ's are non-Puerto Ricans.
  39. Therefore, non-Puerto Ricans have higher IQ's than Puerto Ricans do.
