  34.         Not exactly. I don't think the house or the car
  35.         (even if it *is* a Ferrari :-) ) care too much
  36.         that they are being passed over. People tend
  37.         to be more sensative to these kind of slights. It
  38.         can affect their quality of life. Hell, it could
  39.         affect the "discriminators" quality of life, too.
  40.         They could miss living near someone very special and
  41.         as for the car salesperson, I would say they are
  42.         gambling with a hefty commission.
