  32. Our Innopac system went online in June, 1992 and we have spent
  33. considerable time since then in exploring the wonders and
  34. mysteries of the system's authority control.

  37. It appears that the system reports all first time use of names
  38. and continues to report the same name in the authority reports
  39. until an authority record is added to the system.  If this is
  40. correct then an authority record would be needed for all
  41. personal names.  While I am not an authority on authority
  42. control this requirement appears to be overkill. So I have been
  43. asked to post the following question:

  46. Do Innopac sites export authority reports that do NOT have cross
  47. references and notes?
