- Subject: Exporting of Authority Records
-
-
- Our Innopac system went online in June, 1992 and we have spent
- considerable time since then in exploring the wonders and
- mysteries of the system's authority control.
-
-
- It appears that the system reports all first time use of names
- and continues to report the same name in the authority reports
- until an authority record is added to the system. If this is
- correct then an authority record would be needed for all
- personal names. While I am not an authority on authority
- control this requirement appears to be overkill. So I have been
- asked to post the following question:
-
-
- Do Innopac sites export authority reports that do NOT have cross
- references and notes?
-
-
- If you send any reply directly to me, I will post the results at
- a later date.
