- According to IBM ES/3090 Sustems Assurance Product Review Guide,
- SA90-004-03, your 3090-200J can:

- run in S/370, ESA/370 and LPAR mode
- a Dyadic machine, meaning can run UP or AP
- comes with standard 32 channel paths (VM/SP HPO can support
- max 64, 32 paths on each of two channel sets in S/370).

- Hence if you are only running one VM then you should define
- your CP as AP, attached-processor mode, with definition for
- 32 channels, ie X'00' to X'1F'.
