  13. It's damn cold here (-35) and I'm at home hibernating and cuddling like a good
  14. canookie should...   :)

  16. Yesterday, I braved the frigid temps and splurged on CD's and here is what I
  17. dragged home with me:

  25. And... they're all wicked!  I decided that I want to be Ofra Haza when I grow
  26. up and I want to have a wild lusty love affair with Peter Gabriel. And
  27. speaking of PG, have any of you seen his video for "Steam"?  Wow... it's way
  28. swell... great effects despite the fact that he has one token bimbo moment (in
  29. the rocking sauna with a handful of babes).  :)  And the sound quality on the
  30. _Security_ gives me goose nipples... lovely.  :)

  32. Henry Cow and Fred Frith will have to wait their turn on my new CD... remember,
  33. Bloomie, I live in Bumfuck, Alberta...  :(  I'll have to wait until my next
  34. adventure in the Big Easy to dig up some more interesting stuff...

  36. Christmas was swell for me... I got my goose and my CD.  And I've decided not
  37. to divorce the hockeyplayer despite the fact that his family teased me
  38. mercilessly about taking up the bodhran...  :)  And my dad (who drywalls to
  39. classical music) really liked the Prokofiev collection I gave him...
  40.  
  41. And... has classical music suddenly become hip?  Or am I just imagining the
  42. glut of classical music in my local store??

  44. Good luck on the second compilation, Gary.  The first one went quite smooth,
  45. though there were a few stragglers that got their tapes in WAY late (right
  46. Tim).  ;)  We used similar methods, though we had everyone submit their songs
  47. on cassette and we used that cassette to tape the compilation back onto... And
  48. despite the means, the quality of the final product wasn't too bad. We
  49. also used 100 minute cassettes.  And I put together a little booklet with
  50. pictures and comments from those who contributed.  We had 25 people sign up and
  51. three dropped out...

  53. And a big fat welcome back smooch to wojie, baby... nice to see you back!
  54. Boy... it'll be nice doubling the Denio woody level around here, eh?   ;)

  56. I've got a ton of listening to do.  I got tapes from Bloomie (more Tone Dogs
  57. and Mr. Woodbury), da Beer (Jazz to have kinky sex to), Tim (Tull music for the
  58. sexless), and Renato (pipes and scottish dance tunes).  And then, I've got to
  59. squeeze in some more bodhran practice in there somewhere!  Thumpa thumpa!  Gee,
  60. I'm busy enough that I don't want to go back to work next week...  :(
