  22. buy the best record you know on CD...  Suggestions (in order of preference):

  28. Less obvious solution:
  29. The above solution will immediately pose the enormous problem of having to
  30. decide which record is 'best', generating all sorts of moral conflicts and
  31. inner struggles, maybe even leading to nervous breakdowns, personality crisis
  32. and other highly undesirable side-effects.  Thus the following is suggested:
  33. buy a $2 CD of which you're sure you'll absolutely HATE it -- the kind you
  34. can play at most once in your life, after which you'll only use it as a
  35. frisbee.  This way you'll probably avoid the solution-1 problem...

  37. Dumb solution:
  38. Invite a friend and ask him/her to bring a random CD (don't tell why).  At
  39. least good for a surprise.

  42. Don't use your CD player.
