  11. Just when I thought it was safe to start 1993, came the diturbing news
  12. that the one and only(thank god) Jim Dandy and Black Oak Arkansas are
  13. being resurrected and are visiting Ithaca in a couple weeks. Gack !

  15. I saw these guys warm up for Wishbone Ash in NYC's Central Park in about
  16. 1973-74. Mr. Dandy did his best to try to shake his balls out of his
  17. leather pants, and otherwise murdered the music. Wishbone Ash wasn't
  18. bad, and if I remember correctly, Leon Redbone opened before Black Oak.
  19. Strange bill, huh? Let's see now - there was a buxom blonde who kept
  20. yelling "Go Jim Dandy, Go Jim Dandy !", but that was awhile ago, eh?
  21. Maybe her daughter is filling in for her now, and well - I wouldn't know
  22. what Mr. Dandy was being filled with...

  24. No OMC: Met a nice couple from Holland 2 days ago. I tried to explain the
  25. rules of American Football to the guy, and his girlfriend beat me at
  26. pool. We never got around to music, unfortunately, but they were going
  27. to drive to Niagara Falls the next day, and the thought of anyone wanting to do
  28.  that in the winter baffled me.
