  11. A post-doctoral scientist is required to work with Dr DC Warhurst on a study of
  12. detection methods for the pathogenic free-living amoeba Naegleria fowleri.
  13. The appointment will be for two years, funded under a contract from the
  14. Department of the Environment.

  16. Candidates should have experience in nucleic acid techniques or antibody work
  17. and aptitude in cell culture, but knowledge of free living amoebae is not ess
  18. essential.
  19. Starting salary will be up to #15,563 plus #2134 London Weighting per annum.
