  13. We are soliciting your comments concerning the NSF Postdoctoral
  14. Fellowship Program in Plant Biology.  At a recent meeting on plant
  15. biochemistry, several scientists emphasized the importance of these
  16. fellowships for attracting new researchers into the plant sciences.
  17. We wish to convey to NSF, and the rest of the scientific community,
  18. the impact that this program has had on increasing the overall quality
  19. of plant molecular biology by attracting high quality, productive
  20. scientists from other areas into the field of plant biology.

  22. We would appreciate receiving your comments on the NSF fellowship
  23. program, both pro and con.  Please send your comments concerning this
