  23. Point of Atlas info:  Somalia is not in Santa Cruz County, nor is
  24. Bosnia.  Yet the most noteworthy event in local annals this past year
  25. challenges our own perceptions and very natures to such a degree that we
  26. would willingly export our discussion to avoid it.  Ask why in this
  27. cradle of human potential sentiment there are gender-rigged traps to
  28. thwart that potential and even that humanity in one half of our number
  29. and be answered that along the sands outside Mogadishu the CIA piles
  30. grain elevators to forge an imperialist post on the Indian Ocean.

  32. We are perhaps in Somalia for the same reason Bush is;  to avoid
  33. unpleasant realities at home.
