- Yes this is all part of the balancing act that the justice system goes
- through (and sometimes too much) in the attempt to make sure that punishment
- by death is appropriate and fair.

- Why not try and correct the situation before it starts to happen. We
- as a society promote violence as the due process of eliminating those
- we decide are criminals. Controls applied after the fact usually don;t
- work, but if we condition and education before the fact we may have a
- better handle on overall control of violent crime.
