  13. Pele Juju, Santa Cruz's up-and-coming worldbeat band has several upcoming
  14. shows:

  16. Thu Dec 31 -- New Year's Eve Party -- The Catalyst, Santa Cruz
  17.    New Year's with their home crowd!  This is a show not to be missed.
  18.    The Catalyst is at 1011 Pacific Ave in downtown Santa Cruz, and can
  19.    be contacted at 408-423-1336 for details.

  21.    The shows at the Cat usually start at 9:30, and have an opening band.  I
  22.    don't know if this will be the case for this show or not.

  24. Sat Jan  2 -- Alberto's, Mountain View
  25.    A first time for Pele Juju to play Alberto's, and the first Silicon
  26.    Valley show in a long time.  Alberto's in on Dana St, a half block off
  27.    of Castro, in downtown Mountain View.  They're hoping to get a good
  28.    crowd and develop a following just over the hills from S.C.

  30. Fri Jan  8 -- The Ashkenaz, Berkeley
  31.    Ashkenaz is rapidly becoming their second home.  With no opening band
  32.    and long sets, the shows here are great time.  If you're not into the
  33.    usual club scene, this place is really nice -- it's a "music and dance"
  34.    place, not the normal "club" atmosphere at all.  Good veggie food,
  35.    beer/wine, and some of the best brownies in the bay.

  37.    This show is almost certainly at 9:30pm.

  39.    This is also the last show until March, as the band is taking a bit of a
  40.    vacation, gearing up for recording a new album next spring.
