- Many of us do recognise the fault of Labour. I was not aware that the
- original poster expressed support for Labour. You merely took it that his
- critism of the present Liberal government implied this.

- I don't agree with this. Simply making cut-backs is no garauntee that things
- will improve. The *source* of the problem first needs examination. Is
- the source of Victoria's (and indeed Australia's) current woes an excess
- of employment?

- I for one, was not perfectly happy. I think you grossly overestimate
- the strength of the unions. You seem to be of the opinion that they have
- some sort of special relationship with Labour; when in fact the Cain
- Labour government put a great deal of effort into dismantling and
- weakening the unions in Victoria.
