- My favorite places are long gone.. just memories now.. seems like whenever
- you're having fun the cops screw it up.
-
- There used to be a great place we found one day when a freeway was being
- built across Mission Valley in San Diego. They installed huge storm drains
- that were about 8 ft in diameter. We could start at the top of the
- storm drain and ride up and the walls for about a quarter mile. Then
- they finished the freeway and plugged up the inlets.
-
- Another good place was in the valley.. there was an open drainage ditch
- but the concrete was smooth and some sections would go for about 100
- yards. Once we started skating there, other people driving by would
- see us and all of a sudden there were a lot of people skating ....
- then someone complained, the cops came, one friend was arrested for
- messing with them...a week later a cement truck laid lumps of concrete
- along the bottom.. that was the end of that.
-
- I quit skating after that.
-
- Skating is not a crime.
