- Whoa... I found a HUGE curb-cut in Oceanside last night. My friends and I
- were skating City Hall (walking a tight rope--the security guards there
- are utter and complete asses) when we progressed to a nearby bank. There
- was a curb cut on the bank driveway that was about 2 and a half feet tall
- and really steep. It was almost like a little launch ramp or something.
- We had so much fun playing around with it... but I cracked the tail off of
- my Chet Thomas landing a backside 180... urgh. I usually break boards
- pretty often, but most often I can tell when they're going to break..
- little signs like extreme flexings, or noises. I'm now using an older
- Chet Thomas, the Santa Cruz Thumb's Up, which is alright, but I can't wait
- until after X-mas when I have the money for a new board.
-
- I got a set of McEnroes a couple days ago, and they're beautiful.. just
- like ice. 103's are so great... they haven't coned or flat-spotted or
- even chunked at all yet. Ho hum. Barring any future difficulties,
- they're highly recommended.. (the whole Powell clear hard line of wheels.)
