  11. At our high school (and at most others) there was a "book drop" - a slot
  12. in the wall of the Library where books could be turned in.  One day, we
  13. decided on a shenanigan, and it became the longest-running shenanigan we
  14. ever pulled off.

  16. Each day or two, we would drop SOMETHING into the book drop.  I don't
  17. remember what they all were, but they included a plastic banana, a prop
  18. cigar, several odd things folded out of paper, dishes from the lunchroom,
  19. and so on...

  21. Each item had a note attached that simply said, "this is number 13." or
  22. whatever number it was, in sequence.  We ended up doing about 20 of them.

  24. Unfortunately, we never accomplished the "finale" of this shenanigan.  We
  25. were planning to put something quite bizarre into the book drop.  We had
  26. considered breaking into the office, in order to put something there that
  27. wouldn't fit through the slot, but the best idea we came up with was to
  28. buy a large inflatable object (such as those ride-on sharks sold as
  29. swimming accessories), push it through the slot deflated, and then pump it
  30. up through the slot...

  32. Concerns about graduation and short attention spans cut it short,
  33. unfortunately.  And getting arrested didn't help either, but that's
  34. another story.
