- I've never used this particular product, but I've seen basting tape at my local
- fabric store. It's a thin strip of adhesive tape that will stick to both
- pieces of fabric, and should be removed after stitching. I would think that
- this would be the thing to use with slippery stuff, providing it does not leave
- any residue on the silk or the polyester. It should hold both pieces of fabric
- securely enough and smoothly enough for sewing (at least that's what it claims
- to do, at any rate). Good luck with your project!
