- I think it was this newsgroup that had a recent discussion on the
- use of remnants. My special horde is different size pieces of
- silk, and I've almost decided to make a light weight coat out of
- some of the stash.
-
- Does anyone know of a good fabric to line this with? I think it
- should be slippery, and maybe it should have the same shrinkage
- rate as silk?
-
- Also, there was mention a while ago about what thread to use
- when sewing silk. Many people felt that silk thread should not
- be used. But silk kimono have been sewn with silk thread for a
- *long* time. So is it a difference of sewing with a machine
- versus by hand, when choosing the thread?
-
- Thanks for whatever help you can offer.
