  14.     No damn kidding to previously expressed sentiments about the
  15. Grim Specter spreading over Lynx-land.

  17.     I got rid of my computer for precisely the reason reading posts
  18. about the "long term viability" of the Lynx makes my jaw tight.  With
  19. all due respect to the fellow getting rid of his because of local market
  20. shifts, I find the gloomy forecasts irritating and a little silly.

  22.     I got the Lynx because it's the best machine on the market, with
  23. the best games.  If I ever own all of the 59 games available for it at
  24. this point, I won't master 1/2 of them.  Good.  It's a damn toy.  I want
  25. to _play_ with it.  The longer I have the same cartridge unmastered, the
  26. better.  It means that I am getting my money's worth, which is a rare
  27. thing in consumer electronics.

  29.     In the meantime, I only have Roadblasters and Warbirds.  If I
  30. manage to master either of these in the next day, I will still be two
  31. years from mastering the entire existing library, which will grow by a
  32. few titles before The End.

  34.     To the inevitable squawkers who hate to be disagreed with, yes,
  35. I am killing this thread.  It's no fun to read it.

  39. p.s.  Thanks for good reviews, Robert.  I've consulted them via
  40. Cleveland Freenet each time I've gone out to buy.  Better than the ones
  41. I've read for Game Boy or Gamegear, both of which seem to have less
  42. vocal and sometimes far less literate owners.
