- Although North Carolina doesn't have the weird city/county separation
- Virginia has, we still have a tradition that the city and the county
- of the same name are not in the same place. Rockingham is not in
- Rockingham County, and the same is true of Graham, and Cherokee, and
- Henderson, and quite a few others.

- Alamance, and a couple of others.
