  16. Actually, no one is "interred" in Grant's Tomb, since "inter" means "in
  17. the earth," and the coffins are right there out in the open where you
  18. can see them.  I guess they're below ground level, though, so you could
  19. argue about it.

  21. On my one and only visit to the Tomb, I thought it was really groovy that
  22. they are blowing cooled air over the caskets.  Is there really enough 
  23. soft tissue left that there would be a smell problem if they didn't? 
  24. I mean, when they dug up Lee Oswald after only about 25 years he was
  25. just a skeleton.  What could be left of the Grants by now that would
  26. require special air-conditioning?
