  18. If I recall my Psych of Women correctly, the Inventory was devised by feminist
  19. psychologist Dr. Sandra Bem.  The result of the inventory are plotted on a
  20. "masculine"/"feminine" cartesian axes set, as follows:

  22. Quadrant I (high masculine/high feminine): subject is culturally androgynous
  23.         II (low  "        /high "       ): "       "  "          feminine
  24.        III (low  "        /low  "       ): "       "  "          neuter (?)
  25.         IV (hihg "        /low  "       ): "       "  "          masculine

  27. If it is given to anyone other than people taking psych of women courses, I
  28. don't know.  Implicit in the test is the understanding that these are cultural
  29. definitions, not eternal truths.
