- A friend of mine was talking about her peyote experiences in the past
- recently. She made a few claims that seemed to me to be completely inane...
- one, that one "popper" of peyote would get her high for three days. The other
- was involving dairy products. I am aware the peyote is a MAO inhibitor, and
- that there are a number of things that you shouldn't have in your system when
- ingesting a MAO inhibitor such as dairy products... I once took a yohimbe
- bark mixture that was a MAO inhibitor, and I had a number of taboo things in
- my system, but it did nothing more to me than make me really nauseous. She
- claims that by ingesting a single creamer in her coffee the morning before
- taking the peyote, it caused her to go nearly completely catatonic.
-
- Both of these claims seem a little outrageous to me.... any backup on this?
