- During the year I spent in Australia in my wild and reckless youth :-), I
- shared a house with a bunch of guys who smoked a *lot* of dope. Their dealer
- had a black Lab named Noddy. His house was perpetually full of smoke, and
- whenever I saw the dog he was flaked out on his side, bloodshot eyes open,
- the only sign of motion the tip of his tail wagging when you walked into the
- room.
-
- This was hardly the dog's choice, and while he didn't seem to be objecting,
- he was overweight and lethargic, so it couldn't have been doing him any good.
-
- The dealer, by contrast, was underweight and hyper. He did deal LSD, among
- other things, but I have no idea whether he ever gave it to the dog. We had
- two cats in our house, unneutered males, but I'm happy to say nobody ever gave
- them any drugs of any kind.
