  23. Well, during two severe periods of chronic depression, I've taken Prozac, and
  24. it did precisely what it was made to do; within a period of weeks, the
  25. drug had helped reverse my emotional state. And I definitely felt a sense of
  26. improvement from the drug, and that drug in particular, as I've been in the
  27. same state before and have taken a _host_ of other chemicals, with no or
  28. _adverse_ effects.
  29.     Unfortunately, what's happened to you is that you've run across
  30. one of the contraindicatory effects of Prozac. No drug is perfect, although
  31. some are more effective in more cases (such as Prozac) than others (such
  32. as, in my case, the amitryptalines -- bleah!). Try something else, especially
  33. if what you're dealing with is the not-all-that-uncommon-as-it-seems problem
  34. of bipolar disorder. "Ask your doctor", as the commercial sez...
