- I worked for a carnival when I was 16. One night I got home from work at about
- 3:00 am, and discovered that the local latenight movie host was going to
- show a horror film, so I stayed up for it. "The Seventh Victim" was the
- film, and it is still my scariest picture. No blood, no gore, little action.
- What it deals in is suspense, tension, and just creepiness, plain and simple.
- The ending will haunt your mind. Took me over ten years to see it again,
- and I thought it was better than I remembered when I watched it again.
- SEE IT!
-
- Some others:
-
- Carnival Of Souls
- Clownhouse
- Cat People <The original, not the McDowell/Kinski remake>
- The Black Cat
- The Raven <Lugosi/Karloff, not Karloff/Price>
-
- There are lots more.
- One quick addition:
-
- Vampyr: 1932 Vampire film, unlike any you've seen. Almost silent, but loaded
- with atmosphere and chills. Incredible impressionistic sets!
