  14. I have to agree with the previous follow-up: the FBI has actually pretty well 
  15. gutted La Cosa Nostra over the past 2 decades. The Gotti prosecution is largely
  16. just the latest part of this. What remains in the US of the Sicilian Mafia is a
  17. ghost of it's former self, with appreciably less organization, very messy 
  18. successions un-resolved, and it's most experienced members jailed or turned. 
  19. Yes it still exists, but far from controlling the FBI or CIA, it has decayed 
  20. and been chopped up to the extent where it may not really any longer qualify as
  21. organized crime.
