  15. I have this anoying problem with a DATATRIEVE call in SPSSx that has popped 
  16. up that I hope someone might be able to help me with.

  21. The software versions are as follows...
  22.  
  23.    VMS             5.5-2  H       Operating system
  24.    VAX CDD/Repos.    5.1  H       Common Data Dictionary / Repository
  25.    VAX DATATRIEVE    6.0  H       Data management tool
  26.    VAX TDMS          1.9  H       Terminal Data Management System - forms
  27.    SPSS              4.1  H       Statistical Package for the Social Sciences
  28.  
  29. VAX CDD/Repos. & VAX DATATRIEVE have been recently upgraded (worked with 
  30. earlier versions) which is probably a coincidence.

  32. PROBLEM

  35. The problem is as follows...

  37. Up until recently I have used the following command in SPSSx with great 
  38. success...
  39.  
  40. get datatrieve
  41.         /dictionary=CDD$TOP.USERS.U5536554.REGISTRY
  42.         /domain=twinreg
  43.         /command=FIND first 5 id in twinreg
  44.         /variables=id
  45.  
  46. but now it falls over with the following error...

  57. Does anybody know where in the manuals I can find a better explanation of this
  58.     error? I have tried the CD-ROM documentation and the hard-copy TDMS, 
  59.     RDU & DMU manuals that I have.

  61. Does anybody have any suggestions where the problem could lie?
