- #Can anyone out there tell me if it is possible to write my own lexical
- #functions, and how?
-
- The answer to your literal question is YES, someone out there
- can tell you whether it is possible or not.
-
- The answer to your implied question is NO, you cannot normally
- write your own lexical functions into DCL.
-
- There are a few workarounds:
- 1. Work for Digital on the DCL team and put it in
- 2. Grease the palm of someone in category 1
- 3. Run an image which sets a symbol (lib$set_symbol)
- or otherwise returns the information you seek.
