- Interestingly enough, I think if you read the fine print, and
- _all_ of it is fine print, the rate for basic cable actually went
- down. The rate hike is, IMHO, just cablevision sticking it to
- the consumer again so it can say "I told you so" about the
- cable bill. Hopefully when the bill comes into force (I believe
- 6 months after it was passed), you guys will get some alternatives
- or some relief.

- I also noticed that CVI has been in the last year or so laying
- cable to anything that looks semi-permanent, at least in the
- southern part of Wake co. I suspect that is so they can have a
- leg up when competition becomes a reality.
