  32. Interestingly enough, I think if you read the fine print, and
  33. _all_ of it is fine print, the rate for basic cable actually went
  34. down. The rate hike is, IMHO, just cablevision sticking it to
  35. the consumer again so it can say "I told you so" about the 
  36. cable bill. Hopefully when the bill comes into force (I believe 
  37. 6 months after it was passed), you guys will get some alternatives
  38. or some relief.

  40. I also noticed that CVI has been in the last year or so laying 
  41. cable to anything that looks semi-permanent, at least in the 
  42. southern part of Wake co. I suspect that is so they can have a
  43. leg up when competition becomes a reality.
