- Ladies and Gentlemen!
- I can say nothing about a simple nonlinear algebraic matrix equation
- x^2+ax+xb+c=0
- where a, b and c are noncommuting matrices. This equation can be
- reduced to the form
- x^2+Ax-xA+B=0
- with noncommuting matrices A and B.
- Can somebody help me with this equation. For what kind of matrices it
- can be solved analytically?
- I get this equation in dynamical diffraction theory.
-
- Greatly apreciate any help.
