- NiCd *cells* may be stored in any charge state, although there may be some
- reason not to store them for extended periods in a deeply discharged state.

- Storing NiCd batteries in a fully-discharged state can also be a Bad Idea,
- as self-discharge will eventually cause one or more of the cells to get
- in a bad way; i.e., the cells do not all discharge at the same rate, and so
- it's conceivable (esp. for higher-voltgae batteries) that one or more could
- wind up seeing a reverse charge. Still, this would take an extended
- period of storage before any real problems are likely, assuming that the
- battery wasn't nearly full-discharged to begin with.
