- Oh. I thought junk bonds were a financing vehicle used for
- leveraged buyouts in which the aquirer pledged the aquiree as security
- for some multiply suborninated, sub-junior, standby payment debentures;
- paid themselves fat saralies, borkerage fees, etc; and then dismembered
- the company on a "short term profit optimization" basis so they could
- leave an empty shell behind as they sought out the next opportunity
- to make a fortune through financial manipulation, rather than
- product design, development and marketing.
