  23. My uncle used to do this on his late 70's T-bird.  When it started running
  24. rough he would just dump a little brake fluid right down the carb.  The
  25. engine would sputter and run real rough for a few seconds, and spit out a
  26. lot of black smoke and grime, and when it recovered it would run a lot
  27. smoother and idle better...

  36. I can't comment on the cat. since the above mentioned t-bird had no
  37. cat, ox sensor, etc.  I haven't dared try the above on my car for fear
  38. of plugging up the cat for fouling the ox sensor...
