  13. The brake light (the idiot light on the insrument panel) in my Honda stays on 
  14. all the time.

  16. The parking brake is kinda feeble, but it was like that before the light
  17. came on.  The brakes seem to work fine.  No noises, and reasonable stopping 
  18. distance.

  20. I don't have much money, and I'm about to drive 1000 miles home for xmas.
  21. I've never worked on brakes, but I'm confident with tools and techy
  22. stuff.

  24. What is the likely problem here indicated by the light?  How should
  25. I troubleshoot it, can I fix it, or can I ignore it and take off on
  26. my trip???

  28. The car is a 79 Honda Accord CVCC 5spd manual.
