- I've R&R's ball joints on a 79 Mustang (same thing...), and I have
- also pulled the arm to change the springs. Therefore, the answer is
- yes, you can do both.
- The ball joint is not the bad one to replace; the arm does not need
- removal. The bushings are, however alot of time and work to change
- unless you have access to a press.
-
- Are you SURE the bushings are shot? The Mustang I did the springs
- on had like ~160k miles, mostly city, mostly abuse. The bushings were
- replaced with poly (don't do this... they squeak like a bitch!) for
- better performance, but the old rubber ones were fine.

-
- I usualally just go buy the rebuild kit if I have the time/will to
- rebuild the little suckers. Usually, however, the price difference
- for kit and for a rebuilt cylinder is only like 5 bucks. Might as
- well just buy the rebuilts.
