- I had an '81 Stanza with very similar symptoms: stalled on highway,
- tach sudden;y dropped to 0, even though the engine was in gear and
- still turning, would cool off and run a bit more, I could cool it
- faster by pouring solvent on the distributor. It tourned out to be
- the matchbooked sized module inside the distributor: $160 from
- the dealer. I think the car had 6x,000 miles on it. I think whatever
- your problem is, it is probably on the ignition.
