- Washington DC has some really cool FM radio stations. Unfortunately
- I live 35 miles away from DC and the signals I receive are rather weak.
- For both of my receivers (Akai and Nikko) I use the usual indoor dipole
- antennas supplied by the manufacturers. The local housing regulations
- disallow installation of external radio antennas.
-
- I have considered buying one of those small, amplified FM antennas sold
- in audio stores (brand names: Trek, Parsec, Recoton.) I have a feeling
- that these gadgets are long on gimmick and short on performance, but I
- am not sure. I would like to hear your experience with various FM
- indoor antennas, and in general, recommendations to improve my
- reception of remote signals.
