- Hi there!
- I and my scifi club here in the Western Massachusetts area are
- sponsoring a scifi/fantasy convention on the last weekend of March, with
- writing, comics and (hopefully) Star Trek guests, as well as a Society for
- Creative Anachronism demonstration, roleplaying-gaming (including a multi-media
- ST:TNG-based game which promises to be unique if nothing else) and discussion
- groups.
- It's still early enough in the planning stages that we have
- time to entertain good ideas for how to make this a lot of relatively
- inexpensive fun (which we know it will be, since most people in our planning
- group are experienced con-goers and we all know that a lot of the most
- successful cons are the fan-run ones).
- So. If y'all could take about 10-15 minutes of your valuable
- time to e-mail me directly about what you like best and least about cons, your
- most memorable experiences with cons, the most innovative, creative or just
- plain common-sense things you've seen offered/done, etc. then we can make our
- own convention that much better. Also, if you could possibly forward this
- request to experienced con-goers (or organizers) that you know of so I can get
- their responses as well, I'd be much obliged.
- Finally, opening question: does $25 for a weekend and $15/day
- sound reasonable for a 2-day con?
-
- Thanks,
- Chris
