  21. What is the FAQ based upon?  It sounds like it was based upon one person's
  22. bad experience with an extended warranty, and it is certainly an over
  23. generalization to say all EW's are bad.

  25. Sound Advice is a Hi-Fi Video chain in Florida and offer EW's for a reasonable
  26. price.  (~2% of the purchases price per year.) Better yet, if you don't use it 
  27. you get credit against a future purchase for the full price of the warranty.  
  28. Sure they get to use your money for a few years, but hey you can't beat that 
  29. deal.  (Of course you have to keep your warranties in a safe place.)

  31. Bottom line is ALL EXTENDED WARRANTIES ARE NOT BAD  - AND -
