  22. I also believe protesting the intervention at this time is
  23. counterproductive.  It would be nice if an international (well,
  24. MORE international) peacekeeping operation were doing this job,
  25. but unfortunately the U.N. was making little good headway towards
  26. that end.  Also, I genuinely believe that President Bush might
  27. have wished to do this earlier, but simply found the idea of 
  28. dodging more pre-election claims of "globetrotting at the 
  29. expense of domestic matters" unappealing.

  31. The important thing here is that the food shipments are getting
  32. through!  Not that the WAY they are getting through is not
  33. quite in accordance with ideology.  I commend the US on this
  34. and wish others would also think about what's important here.
